According to different classification standards, the main specifications of thermal printing paper are:

1. Taking the length and width as the standard, the thermal printing paper specifications can be divided into A4 specifications, which are our common 21X29.7 cm specifications; B4 specifications, which are 25X35.4 cm specifications; and B5 specifications, the length and width range is 18.2X35 .7 cm specifications. Of course, according to the international standards on paper specifications, there are also papers with enlarged or reduced specifications. As long as the basic specifications of paper are available, those thermal printing paper specifications that need to be enlarged or reduced can be manufactured. It can be produced according to market needs or special customization. Otherwise, the general market sales will not be large, because it is a special specification thermal printing paper.

2. According to the paper area standard, the thermal printing paper specifications can be divided into three series of thermal printing papers, A, B, and C. Taking each series of 0 format specifications as an example, we can see the paper area of its specifications. For example, the size of A0 paper is 841mm×1189mm, and its paper area is 1m²; the size of B0 paper is 1000mm×1414mm, and its paper area is 2.5m²; the size of C0 paper is 917mm×1279mm, and its paper area is 2.25 M². However, the thermal printing paper specifications used by the general public generally only use A series thermal printing paper and B series thermal printing paper.

For example, when we buy things in supermarkets, the common specification of thermal cash register rolls in supermarkets is 57x50mm. The number 57 in the front represents its width, and the unit is mm. The number 50 in the back is the outer diameter of the roll, which is commonly known as the size. The size of the diameter is different, the length of the paper is different.

In terms of characteristics, thermal paper cannot be preserved permanently, but as technical materials improve, the preservation time should be as long as possible. Generally, the shelf life of thermal paper is only 2 to 3 years, or even a few months. Thermal paper with a long shelf life belongs to long-lasting thermal paper. At present, the thermal paper with good preservation can be up to 10 years in a normal storage environment (avoid high temperature and humidity, direct sunlight, avoid contact with solvents, plasticizers, etc.) Above, the storage time is determined according to the quality of the printing paper.
